HOW TO INSTALL HARDINFO LINUX HARDWARE INFO PROVIDER APP IN UBUNTU 16.04

Introduction

In this article we are going to learn How to install Hardinfo Linux hardware info provider package in Ubuntu 16.04. hardinfo is a open source application for Linux operating system used to check system hardware information. It’s an nice light weight application and an easiest way to check your system configuration. Hardinfo Linux hardware info application divided the system information’s in four categories listed below :

• Benchmarks : CPU Blowfish, CPU Cryptohash, CPU, Fibonacci, CPU N-Queens, FPU FFT…etc..

Follow the below steps to install Hardinfo Linux hardware info provider in Ubuntu 16.04

Before we start the installation of Hardinfo Linux package let’s update the packages & repositories of Ubuntu 16.04 using below command.

elinuxbook@ubuntu:~$ sudo apt-get update  # Update Packages & Repositories

After updating the packages & repositories now we are ready to install the Hardinfo Linux hardware info provider package. So let’s go ahead and install the same using below command.

elinuxbook@ubuntu:~$ sudo apt-get install hardinfo   # Install Hardinfo Linux Package

As you can see above we have successfully installed the Hardinfo Linux package. Now to confirm the same use the below command.

Now to open the application just type the command hardinfo on shell prompt. Refer the command below.
