MICROSOFT TEMPORARILY DISABLED WINDOWS 10 VERSION 1803 (APRIL 2018) UPDATE ON COMPUTERS WITH AVAST ANTIVIRUS
Introduction
Avast Antivirus started showing issues with Windows April 2018 update. Microsoft Windows 10 April 2018 update is one of the major update but also it’s not compatible with so many major applications and throwing so many bugs. Post installing this update the applications like Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox started to stop working. Hence companies started to released the newer version of those applications. Now in one of the conversation of Avast Antivirus official forum users reported that after installing the Windows 10 Version 1803 update the system unable to boot and they also mentioned that there is no system restore point available by which we can restore the windows 10 to it’s previous state. So now in this situation you have only one option to solve the issues is fresh installation of Windows 10 operating system.
Some users also reported that post installing the April 2018 update when they restart, The system asking to select a Keyboard language. Post choosing a Keyboard language the windows asking for two options i.e. Windows Rollback and Select Windows Volume. Now out of these two options if you go with Windows Rolling back option it will take to your system to old version but when you choose the second option it will take to your Desktop with Blank screen with error message “Desktop files could not be accessed”

As per one of the conversation of Reddit, 99% users who are using the Avast Antivirus are facing this issue and rest of the users are not facing any system boot related issue with Windows 10 1803 update. Some users also mentioned in Reddit conversation that AVG users are also facing the same issue. AVG is also a part of Avast Company.

Avast team also mentioned in official forum that Microsoft has disabled the Windows 10 version 1803 (April 2018) for all those systems which are installed with Avast Antivirus. Avast and Microsoft both are trying to find the root cause of the problem but somehow they unable to come with some solutions against this issue.
The developer team of Avast diagnosing the issue and as per them seems to be there is no issue with Avast antivirus and once they found some issue will update the same.
For now you can follow one tip who want to update their system to Windows 10 Version 1803. Just uninstall the Avast antivirus and then update the system and hopefully you will get system without any bugs and errors.
