LINUX LITE 4.0 “CODENAME DIAMOND” BETA 1 (BASED ON UBUNTU 18.04 LTS BIONIC BEAVER) RELEASED ON 27TH APRIL 2018
Introduction
As we all are know that Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver) final version has been released on 26th April 2018. Just on next day i.e. on 27th April 2018 another nice open source Linux operating system has been released it’s BETA 1 version i.e. Linux Lite 4.0. This open source operating system is completely based on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver). The code name of Linux Lite 4.0 is “Codename Diamond“. As per developers there are some major changes they have made on this version of Linux Lite release i.e. The 32 bit installation ISO image will not be available for Linux Lite 4.0 is “Codename Diamond”. It’s comes with completely new theme and new icons and so on.
Minimum hardware requirement for installation of Linux Lite 4.0 :
- The Processor should be at least 1 Ghz
- Screen Resolution :1024 x 768
- Minimum 8 GB of Harddisk
- RAM : 1 GB
Now let’s have a look at some major updates of Linux Lite 4.0 is “Codename Diamond” :
- Linux Kernel version 4.15
- GNU GRUB version 2.02
- LibreOffice version 6.0
- Web Browser : Firefox Quantum version 59
- Image editing application : GIMP version 2.0
- For perform backup of your system Timeshift app is available.
- For mouse theme they choosed Openzone.
