HOW TO INSTALL HANDBRAKE VIDEO CONVERTER IN UBUNTU 16.04
Introduction
In this article we are going to learn How to install Handbrake video converter in Ubuntu 16.04. Follow the below steps to install Handbrake video converter in Ubuntu 16.04
Before start the installation we have to install the official PPA repository for Handbrake video converter as it’s not a part of default repository of Ubuntu 16.04. So to install the PPA repository refer the below command.
elinuxbook@ubuntu:~$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:stebbins/handbrake-releases # Install the PPA Repository

These are the official HandBrake releases for Ubuntu. Official web site http://handbrake.fr/
HandBrake is an open-source, GPL-licensed, multiplatform, multithreaded video transcoder, available for MacOS X, Linux and Windows.
After adding this PPA to your list of repositories (see "Adding this PPA to your system" below), you can install the HandBrake gtk gui with the command:
apt-get install handbrake-gtk
And you can install the HandBrake CLI with the command:
apt-get install handbrake-cli

After installing the PPA repository let’s update the packages and repositories of Ubuntu 16.04 using below command to take effect.

Now let’s go ahead and install the Handbrake video converter package using below command.

As you can see above we have successfully installed the handbrake package. To confirm the same refer the below command.
