Before start the installation of frostwire app let’s update the Packages and Repositories of Ubuntu 16.04 using below command.

After updating the Packages & Repositories now we have to download the Frostwire torrent client package from official website. To download the same use the below command.

Errors were encountered while processing:

As you can see above the Frostwire app is asking for some dependencies to complete the installation process. Hence use the below command to install all required dependencies.

Now to open the application just type the command frostwire on shell prompt. Refer the command below.

After open the application for first time you will see the below screen in front of you. Just click on Next to continue.
Now set the installation path for Frostwire bittorrent alternative or use the default path and click on Next.
Click on Next to continue the configuration.
Click on Next.
Click on Finish to complete the Frostwire app configuration.

Now to uninstall the Frostwire app use the below command.
