HOW TO INSTALL ARORA WEB BROWSER (ARORA BROWSER) IN UBUNTU 16.04
Introduction
In this article we are going to learn How to install Arora web browser in Ubuntu 16.04. Arora browser is a internet browsing application. It’s an nice light weight application comes various features like bookmark websites, set internet proxy address if you are working on a proxy based environment, fast internet website browsing, consume’s less memory, download manager, Ad blocker and so on. Arora browser is not a advance browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox but if you are looking for a simple web browser with normal browsing features then this application is best for you. It’s an cross platform application available for major operating systems i.e. Linux, Microsoft Windows, MacOS.
The disadvantages of Arora web browser is it’s not updated from last 7 years. Last update of this application was released on year 2010 and also there is no plugins and fixes are available for Arora Browser. Initially this application was developed by Benjamin C. Meyer using C++ programming language and released under GNU GPL license.
Follow the below steps to install Arora Web Browser (Arora Browser) in Ubuntu 16.04
Before we start the installation of Arora browser let’s update the Packages & Repositories of Ubuntu 16.04 using below command.

After update the Packages & Repositories now we are ready to install the Arora Web Browser package. To do so we don’t have to install any 3rd party PPA repository as it’s a part of default repository of Ubuntu 16.04. So follow the below command to install the Arora package.

As you can see above we have successfully installed the Arora web browser package. To confirm the same use the below command.
