Introduction
In this article we are going to learn How to change Password (reset password) of user account in Windows 7/8/10. We keeps our system password protected to make safe our Personal or Official data because without password protection any one can enter in to your system and can access all your data and can do misuse of that. Hence it is recommended to protect your system with a strong password. Strong password in the sense There should be involvement of Uppercase letter, Lowercase letter, Number, Special Character in your password but If you are using a easy password like some name, Mobile number then any one can guess it. You should change your password frequently to make your data more safe. There are several ways by which you can change Password (reset password) of user account. Here I will show you the easiest way to do that. So let’s get started.
Follow the below steps to change Password (Reset Password) of user account in Windows 7/8/10
You have to follow Four simple steps to Change Password (Reset Password).
Right click on Computer icon on your desktop and Click on Manage. Refer the snapshot below.
CLICK ON MANAGE
After above step the Computer Management window will open in front of you. Here Double click on Local Users and Groups option on Left panel and select the option Users. Now on Right side you will get the list of all available users. Now select the User you want to change password (reset password) -> Right Click on that -> Click on Option Set Password. Here I am changing the Password of Administrator. Refer the snapshot below.
CLICK ON SET PASSWORD
Now you will get the below window with some additional information. If you want you can read the given details and then click on Proceed button.
CLICK ON PROCEED TO CONTINUE
Enter the password you want to set twice i.e. on New Password field and then on Confirm password filed then click on Ok. Refer the snapshot below.
